I don't have an XBox 360 but I do play PC games - Call of Duty 2 is nice as a PC game. I'm glad XBox 360 players can play it too.
On my PC I especially like playing online for free with up to 32 other players at a time ... I'm sure the XBox 360 version is just as fun... Oh wait, the XBox 360 can only have 8 players online ... and it isn't free.
That's OK it's still a great single player game ... and all those mods that ramp up the texture detail and add new weapons adds to the replayability on my PC .... I'm sure the XBox 360 version is just as fun ... Oh wait, the 360 doesn't have 3rd party mods - it'll always be the same game
Oh well, Call of Duty 2 is still a fun game and it's worth the price. Oh wait, the retail cost for the XBox version is $10 more than the PC version.
Hmm. I'm glad I didn't have to plop $400 on a new console to play this game... Oh wait, the XBox 360 players did!
I'll never understand why the 360 is such a big deal ...
what is even worse are the idiots who paid thosands more for an xbox 360 for christmas on ebay rather than just get a top end computer with all the bells and whistles and SAVE money. what noobs
Heh i have CoD 2 for pc. Its a fun game... they need to fix it up a bit though, like the drawback on some guns. You can pump 71 bullets without even losing aim. I agree with you guys though, why buy 360 when you can get the same games for something else...
Reminds me of the people who paid all that cash to get an XBOX when HALO came out. Now you can get HALO on the PC with MORE goodies, MORE maps, MORE weapons, FREE online play with NO lag, NO jaggies and a MUCH higher frame rate.
I have a thread that is full of hates for xbox360... please fill up my thread of hate so i can send it out to Microsoft!
Naw - they were smart in their marketing scheme. You gotta give them that - it was the media that gave it all the hype. As much as I HATE the Xbox, I gotta admit - they desrve the cash they made off those idiots. However, I aint sayin' everyone who makes money desrves it: models, sports stars, crappy musicians, celebrities.. They DON'T deserve the money they make, 'cause they don't contribute to anything. Microsoft at LEAST contributed a way for us PC gamers to laugh at those console hogging fanboys (Most deadly being the Nintendo fanboys.)
I agree Echo.. some celebrities who earn millions of dollars think they're better than us. Look at celebrities who got into troubles with law. Most of the time, they just get a fine or a slap to the wrist than they're off the charges. Look at Michael Jackson, how many trials has he got off on?
I do agree, Microsoft spend tons of cash to hype this launch up. But i'm wondering why hasn't Sony start up their advertising yet for PS3?

That's the thing I realize about Sony - they don't really much on advertising as they do fans enjoying their gear. The PSP has VERY little advertising - I can only recall about 4 commercials since it's release, and yet the sucker has outsold the iPOD Mini AND Nano. That's pretty impressive since, again, they had very little advertising. They don't hype stuff that much, either. It's a really dangerous game to play and I'm surprised they didn't go out of buisness simply because you don't see 'em everywhere, but low and behold - they're concidered the new aged king o_O I dunno how they did, but they did. Microsoft gets by with it's crappy machine since they hype the ever living shit out of it - they say it's gonna be the greatest thing ever, have huge launch parties, big contests, and buy up all these licenses so THEY have all the big titles. Nintendo is another odd bird - they TELL the gamers what the gamers want. When asked why they didn't have online support for the GameCube, a Nintendo spokes person said "Our gamers don't WANT online play." What the hell? Same goes for their new controller - they claim gamers WANT that. That's a lil controlling, ya think? (No pun intended). Of course, I can laugh at all of this since the only two companies I really give a damn about are Microsoft for my OS and Software (Yeah, yeah - whine all you want. Would you rather be using a Macintosh? Didn't think so), and Sony for my monitors, stereo and PSP.

Suckers.
I played Halo on a PC and it sucked so hard I couldn't finish the first level.....
You're right about everything else though.

That must be a problem on your end, I've got Halo for the PC and I run it maxed out, not a bit of lag and I've beaten the game on it several times. Hell I just went through the entire game again a week ago. And my new video card hasn't even arrived yet.
CoD 2 for the XBox 360 does suck quite a lot though, hell it's got a lower framerate than I can get on my PC even. Who the hell would waste money on that crap? Who the hell thought of an FPS game for a console anyway?! PC's the only way to go with FPS games.

why would you do that?
do you think it's going to make them rethink the quality of their system? ... or make them pull the 360 off the market because they, in good conscience, are concerned about pushing an inferior product? ... weren't you around during the first few generations of the Windows OS?
It is a shame that all the nextgen consoles will be too damn expensive to use, but yes, the surprise is that because of non-advertisements everyone would rather own a PS2 (or PSP) instead of the other competitors. And until recently, the PC had little advertising (apart from the crappy Windows XP ads came along ) but people were cautious about wielding a huge brick and a window screen (well, a monitor and keyboard for all of us )
Yes, the PS2 is a bit lame europewise, and yes, the XBOX and the PC (predominantly) is run by Bill Gates's minions, but the PC is special because you can upgrade EVERYTHING and buy the games for it without ever worrying about buying another console.
The PS3 sounds interesting that you can upgrade the Graphics Cards for the next generation of gaming, and it is MOSTLY backwards compatible with it's previous titles. I said MOSTLY because a few PS1 games didn't work on the PS2, and neither do some XBOX titles on the X360 (which is a cash-cow if you tell me). But if you don't want to bother with consoles and that, look on google for "Emulators" and "Roms" and you don't have to spend a fortune finding old stuff just to play games on.

umm, i am a microsoft fanboy but im not gonna flame, most 360 players that wanted a live launch game got PDZ(perfect dark zero- which is awesome on multiplayer) CoD2- for single player. Also, techinically, u also hav to pay for online connection to play online on the pc as well

"technically," huh?
As I'm sure you know, I'm just making a few laughs - If I had a 360 I wouldn't throw it out in the garbage ...
but your argument about "paying" for an online connection ... c'mon you can do better than that. Most people pay for online service for internet access anyway - there's no additional fee on top of that to play PC games online. Is a 360 player spared that expense by paying for xbox live? Of course not. Not unless they don't use the internet at all ... and there are probably 3 households like this left in the civilized world.
If you want to take a stab at PC gamers you might want to point out the expense of purchasing a decent gaming PC. (that's the last time I'll supply you with ammunition, OK?)

Most PC games you can get for free, not saying I do of course...
Also, the whole PC gamers paying for the internet argument. You have to do that for the 360 as well, how else are you going to connect to xbox live?!
To me the Xbox 360 is just undersupply hype to make it seem more so than it is. My friend has it and just brags all day about this and that, hes just a bit behind on the times in my opinion...
